Certainly Drashti Dhami as a Super Star had the maximum impact ,where her talent and chemistry with Gurmeet enthused me to finally write a 250 episode long story on my concept “Mannmeet” which is now referred to as “Maaneet’s Eternal Love Story relived yet again.” on social networking sites.
She as Geet along with Guru as Maan has given moments to cherish and archive for ever in our hearts and Guru's contribution is no where lagging behind, together they have made fan's bad day turn good and make them feel "Aaj din bangaya" when something very passionate is shown involving Guru and Drashti.
Irrespective of what happens with Geet as a series, because the recent episodes specially where a culprit and a criminal was glorified, disappointed me a lot and I feel Drashti's image as an actress was not complemented and so was her character Geet which was assassinated during and after the holi sequence, and did not go down well with majority of her audiences and the result of it, many disconnecting from the show as well as her onscreen character “Geet” which is unfortunate indeed.
From admirer’s point of view its pain watching your beloved star’s talent not complimented by behind the scenes creative’s vision.
But then what makes Drashti and Gurmeet so special is their charisma to hold on fans and make them sit and watch Geet and this quality in them deserves an honor as prestigious as “Knighthood”.
Nature’s most beautiful creation till date, a gift to humans which is fictional and not real.
Fans have some unrealistic, unfair but very true and strong desires for Drashti and Gurmeet.
One common feeling and expression of Maaneet fans:
“God’s Computer was indeed struck by a virus for few seconds and the result is in front of you”.
Its “harsh” but when almost everyone thinks on the same line then it’s difficult to ignore.
“What fans want to see with Drashti and Gurmeet in Geet is something which cannot be possible in real life between them.”
